NEU-ISENBURG, Germany: June 27, 2017. time:matters, the Lufthansa Cargo urgent delivery subsidiary, has won its third consecutive award from John Deere for managing spare parts logistics.

A leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, John Deere classified time:matters as a partner three years ago following its development of a custom supply chain strategy and flight network for the company's aftersales service.

time- matters and john deereToday, permanently chartered aircraft managed by time:matters deliver spare parts to Scandinavia and the Baltic States from John Deere's European Parts Distribution Center in Bruchsal, its production plant in Zweibrücken and a logistics facility in Hockenheim.

Reliable farm machinery during harvest is a top priority and time:matters says it has achieved a 99.5 percent performance level: Customers who order parts before 1900 can expect delivery to remote locations in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark by 0800 the following day.

"The partnership with time:matters is characterized by a very high level of service continuity as well as proactive communication and a strong customer focus," said Fritz Rheindorf, director Parts Operations EAME at John Deere in Germany.

With access to over 3,000 flights a day to some 500 destinations in around 100 countries, time:matters also supplies shipment data to John Deere so retailers don't have to use the tracking systems from over 500 transport providers.

Last year Lufthansa Cargo reacquired full ownership of its subsidiary that had been spun off in 2002. "time:matters has established itself in recent years as the leading specialist for sameday delivery and emergency logistics in Europe," said company chairman and CEO Peter Gerber. "Our focus is all about maximum reliability, exceptional service and customized solutions," he added.

time:matters CEO Franz-Joseph Miller noted: "With its technology and service platform, hardly any other logistics company can match [us] in terms of service and flexibility. Since 2006, we have more than tripled our [annual] revenue to over €65 million euros."
