SYDNEY: August 28, 2017. A reorganization of the Qantas Group top management sees the appointment of Alison Webster, executive manager of Freight, Catering & Airports, as CEO of Qantas International from November this year.

Alison Webster Sean-Shwe Will-Hodgman VAN INVESTMENTSGroup CEO Alan Joyce said the promotion of Webster from within the airline reflected renewal within a well-established team: "I'm pleased that we will be welcoming a new member to the Qantas executive team with Alison Webster joining as the CEO of Qantas International.

"Alison has close to 30 years' experience in aviation, including 13 at Qantas. She's held senior executive roles across commercial, customer and operations here and with British Airways," he continued.

Other management changes include Lesley Grant as group executive of People and Culture; Jayne Hrdlicka to CEO of Qantas Loyalty and Digital Ventures; Gareth Evans as CEO of Jetstar Group; Olivia Wirth, Chief Customer Officer; Andrew Finch adds Office of the CEO to his responsibilities as general counsel and company secretary; and Andrew David, currently CEO of Qantas Domestic, also takes on Qantas Freight, Catering and Airports.

The management changes follow last week's announcement of a Qantas Group pre-tax profit of A$1.4 billion on revenue of A$16.05 billion for its fiscal year ending June 2017 – the second highest in its history.

"Over the past three years, our senior executive team has led the group through a major turnaround. We're now entering a phase of ongoing improvement and innovation, and these changes will help drive that. This is also about making the best use of the considerable leadership talent at the top level of our organization," Joyce explained.
