Sergio Mujica Deputy Secretary General World Customs Organization WCO PARIS: October 26, 2016. At the opening of The International Air Cargo Association's (TIACA) biennial forum, business leaders and regulators have agreed to ensure a more efficient, safer air cargo industry.

Representatives from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), TIACA, and the World Customs Organization (WCO), said they would combine their resources to make improvements in the air cargo supply chain.

TIACA secretary-general Doug Brittin commented: "We are living in a period of great transition for our industry, and collaboration among all members of the air cargo community has never been more important."

Fang Liu secretary general of the ICAO, and Sergio Mujica deputy secretary general of the WCO, joined Brittin in pledging continued close cooperation in order to secure "a bright future for the industry."

This includes the development of a new technology platform to support Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) systems, as well as a new Cargo Service Quality Index for measuring cargo performance at the airport level.
