HONG KONG: February 14, 2018. The latest Longines Masters equestrian event ended last weekend with a Grand Prix win by France's Patrice Delaveau on his ride Aquila HDC.

longinesgrandprixDelaveau (right) snatched first place from Max Kühner of Austria on Cielito Lindo 2 by just 0.07 seconds in the jump-off while Daniel Deusser of Germany on Cornet D'Amour finished in third position, just 0.08 seconds behind Kühner.

However the real stars of the show, some 52 of the world's top Showjumpers, had arrived in Hong Kong from Liège on February 04 accompanied by a veterinarian and eight grooms from Peden Bloodstock.

The horses travelled on an Etihad Cargo B777 freighter equipped with a specially-designed ventilation structure and temperature control system, as vice president Justin Carr noted: "Our equine customers are very important to us and our focus on safe, comfortable and reliable services made us a preferred partner for these specialist services.

"Longines Masters is the top show jumping event in the world and we are very proud to have been entrusted to bring these prized animals to this competition.

Established in Paris, Hong Kong and New York, the Longines Masters series, dubbed the "Grand Slam Indoor of Show Jumping", is broadcast in more than 120 countries to reach 800 million households.

Last year Etihad Cargo used its SkyStables, designed with non-slip floors and stocked with hay and water, to ship more than 2,500 horses around the world.
