BRUSSELS: February 22, 2018. DHL Express has a new €140 million, 36,500 sq.mt. regional hub at Brussels Airport that can handle 42,000 shipments an hour.

Hub vice president Koen Gouweloose said the technology used in the facility allows his company to process even more packages even more quickly and efficiently.

"As a hub, this allows us to play an important role in the network, while paying close attention to security and working conditions for our 1,200 employees, who are in turn ensuring that our clients are receiving the great service they expect from DHL Express."

The state-of-the-art hub has also provided 200 new DHL jobs at the airport as the company is acknowledged for the fourth year as a leading global employer. The London-based HR validator and auditor Top Employers Institute has recognized DHL with its 'Top Employer Global' award after certifying the company's employment practices in 50 countries.
