Fuel a more sustainable future

Maserati 2MODENA: October 16, 2017. Maserati chartered an Air Bridge Cargo Airlines 747-400 freighter for the Japan launch of its MY18 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio cars.

The car company used a hangar at Narita International Airport to unload 28 cars for both the launch and delivery to invited customers.

U.S. Autoweek magazine lists the Pininfarina-designed cars at around $150,000 that includes a hand-assembled 4.7-liter V8 Ferrari engine plus "interior personalization packages and better aerodynamics and compliance with the latest pedestrian safety regulations".

Maserati has produced more than 37,000 GranTurismo and GranCabrio models since a launch in 1947 from its historic Viale Ciro Menotti facory in Modena.

The luxury car subsidiary of the Fiat Chrysler group is forecasting worldwide sales of 55,000 in 2017 - up from 42,000 last year. Sales in China are expected to top 17,000 according to its CEO Reid Bigland.
