Aramex electricDUBAI: October 22, 2017. Aramex has acquired 10 more electric delivery vehicles in Amman as part of a CO2 emissions reduction plan to convert its entire fleet in Jordan, the UAE and Egypt over the next 12 months.

Aramex head of Sustainability Raji Hattar said the company plans to introduce electric vehicles in the 72 markets it operates.

"We pride ourselves on being a leader in sustainability across the region. Protecting the environment is an integral part of our 'Delivering Good' platform. We are committed to reducing CO₂ emissions from our operations by an additional 20 percent by 2020, over the initial target of 20 percent of CO₂ reduction we achieved in 2016," he explained.

Today's announcement follows the construction of a 1.2-megawatt solar farm to support its Amman operations and the company is currently transforming its Dubai warehouse facility to generate over seven megawatts.

Aramex said its 'Delivering Good' platform is a commitment to promote Sustainability and is reflected in 97 percent of its global operations.
