FORT WORTH, TX: February 01, 2018. American Airlines has selected IT solutions provider IBS Software to implement its next-generation iCargo management system.

IBS Group AAAccording to American, this is the Cargo organization's largest investment to date and is intended to "significantly enhance the customer experience" with a migration to a web-based, fully integrated technology platform to connect all its critical business functions.

"We will continue to push the boundaries to deliver an industry-leading experience," commented American Airlines Cargo president Rick Elieson. "We are focused on modernizing processes for our team, and increasing transparency and flexibility for our customers. The rapidly changing cargo landscape demands that we invest in the best of tools, so that our team can focus on doing what they do best—delivering an exceptional customer experience."

The two companies said they are designing a multi-year, phased implementation and rollout strategy, to ensure the technology and processes are brought into the business in a seamless manner.

"iCargo has, over the years, recorded remarkable traction in the market to emerge as the most definitive cargo management solution in the air transportation industry," added VK Mathews, executive chairman, IBS Group.
