WeberersBUDAPEST: March 12, 2018. Waberer’s International, a European full truckload (FTL) operator, reports a 17.8 percent rise in 2017 results to €674.4 million and a 57.5 percent increase in net profit to €21.4 million.

The company, which specializes in automotive and the FMCG sectors, says the UK remained one of its top three markets last year with an average 800 truck movements a week.

Waberer’s CEO Ferenc Lajkó said 2017 had been an “exciting year” that included an IPO in July.

He added the FTL operator’s strong fourth quarter was due to a combination of organic growth and the successful integration of Polish company Link, acquired in mid-2017.

Commenting on plans for 2018 Lajkó noted: “We plan to further grow our highly diversified customer base by targeting the attractive auto and e-commerce sectors. In the regional segment, we remain focused on consolidating our position in the region through further value-accretive acquisitions."
