BARCELONA: May 03, 2018. Heavylift ocean carrier AAL and its Spanish agent Marítima Davila of Grupo Davila, have celebrated their new partnership with the delivery of two Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridges (SPBBs) from Barcelona to the PortMiami cruise terminal in Florida (right).
The four-sectioned SPBBs, designed by Spanish transport engineering group Adelte and measuring 32 metres long and weighed 205 tonnes each, were shipped by one of AAL’s 31,000 DWT vessels for PortMiami’s newly renovated Terminal F.
“What a great way to christen a new partnership,” commented AAL Commercial director Christophe Grammare. “We are delighted how well the team at Marítima Davila and our own team at AAL Europe provide[d] our European customer with a seamless end-to-end service.”
Maritima Davila managing director Jorge Sánchez added: “The Davila Group is truly delighted to boost its strategic partnership with AAL. Davila has been involved in maritime services since 1917 and was incorporated under its present name in 1962. Based in Madrid, operations include ship’s agent, logistics, terminal operations, transportation and yacht marina services.
