FRANKFURT/MILAN: June 06, 2018. Kerry Logistics Network has acquired a majority stake in Saga Italia to add project logistics, heavylift and material management to its service portfolio.

Thomas Blank and Marco OrioloThe purchase will also add three new countries to the Kerry Logistics network: the Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Egypt, as well as provide new offices in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the UAE, Russia and the US.

Founded in 1985, Saga Italia manages projects for multinational corporations with a focus on the oil and gas sector, as well providing international freight forwarding services covering air, ocean and overland transportation.

“With this step, we continue to build upon our expertise in project logistics which currently spreads across China, The Philippines, Indonesia, The Commonwealth of Independent States, and India,” said Thomas Blank, Kerry Logistics managing director Europe, (left of picture with with Saga Italia owner Marco Oriolo).
