UTA Volker HuberMOSCOW: June 19, 2018. Union Tank (UTA) has expanded its European network, to provide cashless refuelling at more than 2,100 Russian and 83 Belarusian Lukoil fuel stations.

To this end, the strategic partnership with LICARD Euro Services GmbH, which is part of the LUKOIL Group, is deepened; it had previously already covered selected stations in Bulgaria and the complete Romanian network. As of today, close to 2,200 stations are added in Russia and Belarus, which means that UTA’s Eastern European supply network has been extended to more than 12,000 fuel stations.

“The partnership with UTA has enormous potential for us”, explains Kirill Vorobyev, Managing Director of LICARD Euro Services GmbH. “With such a strong and reliable partner at our side, we are able to steer European transport companies to our LUKOIL stations in Eastern Europe and Russia in the future.”

In return, UTA benefits from low-cost fuel in Russia. “At the beginning of this year, we significantly expanded our presence in Eastern Europe. We are therefore delighted to be able to make our customers a competitive offer in this important transit and target market,” says Volker Huber, CEO at UTA. “Our fuel stations network now covers more than 44,000 stations in 37 European countries.”
