Fuel a more sustainable future

RAM B767FBRUSSELS: June 29, 2018. Royal Air Maroc is now operating a B767-300 freighter between its Casablanca hub and Brussels as part of a development strategy with Etihad Cargo.

The Boeing-converted freighter, with a capacity of 45 tonnes, began operating to Brussels in June and will be used to expand all-cargo services from Morocco to Frankfurt, Algiers, Nouakchott, Accra, Lagos, Abidjan, Lome, and Bamako.

The long haul aircraft, which replaces a B737, will enable RAM to develop three new products: Cargo Pharma for temperature-controlled shipments, Cargo Stable for transporting horses and large live animals, and Cargo Outsize for project cargo traffic.

The company says its African development strategy, in partnership with Etihad Cargo, aims to leverage complementary capacities to meet the growing demand of Moroccan and international shippers to reach niche markets throughout Africa while avoiding major hubs in Europe.
