ZURICH: October 28, 2018. Swiss WorldCargo is introducing new services to Asia and South America this winter.
From its Zurich hub, the cargo division of Swiss International Airlines will begin operating twice a week to Colombo, Sri Lanka from November 03; a similar frequency to Ho Chi Minh City and Saigon from November 15; and a twice weekly service to Buenos Aires begins on November 07.
In Asia Swiss WorldCargo handles cargo traffic on direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore and Phuket while to South America destinations include São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
“The introduction of these new routes offers great new opportunities for us,” said Ashwin Bhat, head of Cargo for Swiss International Air Lines. “This shows the impressive intercontinental footprint of both Swiss International Air Lines and Swiss WorldCargo. In addition to our increased cargo capacity with the arrival of new B777- 300ERs, new destinations allow us to showcase our best-in-class quality and service on a variety of global routes,” he added.
Last month the airline also introduced a seasonal service to Mahé, Seychelles.
