DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX: January 28, 2019. UPDATE: American Airlines is to launch a seasonal nonstop flights between DFW and Dublin on June 07 with B787-9 aircraft. According to the carrier, it is the first time the two cities have been connected with a direct air service.

DFW AAAA already operates direct services from Dublin to Charlotte, Chicago O'Hare and Philadelphia.

"This first, direct, scheduled service from Ireland to Texas will open up a number of new markets for both Irish and multinational exporters with freight destined for Dallas and beyond," said Andy Cornwell, American Airlines Cargo’s regional manager – Northern Europe.

Last year American Airlines Cargo generated more than US$1 billion in revenue and moved a record two billion pounds of freight and mail across its system.

With volume at an all-time high, the airline said it also achieved its highest 'Flown As Booked' numbers. The trend continued through the end of the year, setting all-time FAB records in six out of the last seven months.

“We’ve had an incredible year,” declared Rick Elieson, president, American Airlines Cargo. "We set out to break records and did just that. We achieved a major revenue milestone, but more importantly, our teams handled record volume and still delivered the best operational performance in the history of our company. Thanks to the daily effort of every single team member in this organization, 2018 was definitely a historic year.”
