BUDAPEST: May 14, 2019. Palletways Hungary is celebrating record volumes and a growing membership base since launching in October last year.

palletways hungaryThe network, which started with 11 members from across the country, transported around 100 pallets a day in its first month of operation. Over the past seven months this figure has risen to 300 pallets a day with 20,000 for the whole of April.

With its main hub in the western suburbs of Budapest, the company currently has a total of 15 members providing a full range of domestic and international services including a domestic next-day premium service across Hungary, an nconomy service and morning deliveriessupported by tracking technology.

Peter Kovacs, managing director of Palletways Hungary said: “We’ve seen a very positive response to our excellent level service in the Hungarian market. [and] we are looking to expand our import and export opportunities to and from the UK, Germany and Iberia. These regions have already made good use of the network so there is great potential for development.”

Luis Zubialde, Palletways Group COO added: “We’re delighted with the Hungarian network’s impressive level of growth. It underlines a period of extensive development with the additional announcement of a new operating area in three Nordic countries last autumn."
