LONDON: May 29, 2019. Ontruck, which matches drivers with loads to reduce the cost to shippers of empty-leg trucking, has hired former Uber senior manager of Product Operations Nolan Andelin and former head of Global Operations at online food order and delivery service Just Eat Samuel McGuirk.

As the company’s new head of Marketplace, Andelin will be tasked with consolidating its business strategy and says he plans to apply his Silicon Valley experience. McGuirk, who has been appointed head of UK Operations, is expected to leverage his Just East experience in managing teams across Italy, France, Ireland, Canada and Spain.
