MUNICH: June 04, 2019. Announced during the opening of transport logistic 2019, WebCargo by Freightos has become the first live user of IAG Cargo’s digital APIs. This provides instant access to rates, route availability, and the platform to make and manage bookings in real time to any of IAG Cargo’s 350+ destinations.

transport logistic 2019Customers are now able to access these functions through the Freightos WebCargo platform, its air cargo pricing and eBooking platform. In addition, IAG Cargo has invested in developing APIs that can be integrated directly into customer systems, allowing customers the choice to book via IAGCargo.com or their own system.

Enikö Matanov, IAG Cargo director of Strategy & Revenue Optimisation said: “This development will make it easier than ever for our customers to book with us and access our global network of over 350 destinations. In our survey of the freight forwarding industry, over 80 percent of respondents said they expected digitalisation to positively impact their business.

WebCargo’s support of instant pricing and eBookings with one of our preferred partners, IAG Cargo, means smarter, faster operations and, more importantly, improved service.”

WebCargo joined Freightos in 2016. Founded by Zvi Schreiber, the company has raised US$94.4 million from leading venture funds, including GE Ventures and the Singapore Exchange.
