FRANKFURT: July 23, 2019. Lufthansa Cargo has approved the use of CSafe Global RAP containers for pharma shipments to 300 destinations in more than 100 countries.

Lufthansa Cargo senior director of Industry Development & Product Management Thorsten Braun said: “To me it represents a typical win-win situation. With the addition of the CSafe RAP we are further expanding our portfolio of active cool containers, which is second to none.”

LH SwissCSafe Global CEO Jeff Pepperworth added: “We are honored to deepen our relationship with Lufthansa Cargo and strengthen our promise to protect what matters most to pharmaceutical customers so that patients can receive what matters most to them.”

The CSafe RAP ensures the integrity and safe delivery of temperature-sensitive products across the globe by maintaining a defined payload temperature set-point throughout product transport, even in the most extreme ambient conditions (-30°C to +54°C).

Earlier this month, Lufthansa partner Swiss WorldCargo also approved the pharma ULD for its operations.

Susanne Wellauer, Head of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Vertical Industry Management for the airline noted: “Our partnership underscores not only a continued focus on quality in shipping temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical goods worldwide every day, but also our dedication to finding the best solutions for doing so.”
